What to expect

Our Method of Treatment
At Fertility Edge Acupuncture we believe in proactively maximising your fertility potential and we don’t believe in wasting time.  This means that we like to get started right away: As soon as your initial consultation appointment is arranged, we send you a detailed and comprehensive health history questionnaire. You will be asked to fill out and return the form to us prior to your initial appointment. We then take the time to assess your history. This way when you come in to Fertility Edge for your first visit, we are able to immediately begin discussing your personal fertility goals and get started with your treatment. The initial consultation lasts about one hour and this includes Acupuncture treatment. Subsequent treatment appointments last about a half hour.

At Fertility Edge we treat each and every client individually. We know that you and your circumstances are unique.  As such, your personal situation is assessed and a treatment programme is formulated comprising a combination of treatments based on your specific needs.  On an ongoing basis throughout your treatment,  we re-evaluate your condition and assess your progress.  Accordingly your treatment programme is updated to reflect and accommodate the improvements and changes in your condition.

Our Types of Treatment
The types of treatment used at Fertility Edge are prescribed to address and enhance your specific fertility issues and overall reproductive health.  We usually recommend a combination of Acupuncture and a fine tuning of nutritional and lifestyle recommendations (such as diet, vitamin and herbal supplements, exercise, sleep and easy to implement methods of handling stress) in order to address your individual specific needs and suit your lifestyle.  There are always a number of things you can do at home and in your life to support the Acupuncture treatments and enhance your fertility.

Acupuncture Treatment
Fertility Acupuncture involves the insertion of extremely thin, sterile, single use, disposable needles into specific points on the body to address factors contributing to infertility.   Because Acupuncture needles are hair thin and not hollow like a syringe, Acupuncture is not a painful sensation like getting an injection.  Our priority is to provide a comfortable and relaxing experience for you.
