“When compared with usual care, acupuncture treatments may significantly reduce hot flashes and other vasomotor symptoms and improve some quality-of-life measures associated with menopause.”
These findings, the results of a year-long NCCIH-funded study on acupuncture for menopause, conducted by researchers from Wake Forest School of Medicine and Duke University School of Medicine, were published in the journal Menopause.
