Many couples use fertility prayer to get pregnant as a number of Saints are said to help with fertility. A lot of people say these prayers for themselves, but a few of these prayers, like the St. Gerard Prayer & St. Rita prayer, can also be said by caring family members or friends of those trying to conceive. Some of my patients have even had large groups saying these prayers for them. Throughout the years many of my patients have mentioned how they believe that fertility prayer has helped them to conceive and at the very least to gain a sense of calmness, peace and reduce feelings of stress, which is always beneficial to setting up the conditions that will allow pregnancy to happen.

Glorious St. Rita, O holy patroness of those in need, your intercession with our Lord is most powerful. Through the favors obtained by your prayers, you have been called the Advocate of the Hopeless and even of the Impossible. 4. Is there a Jewish fertility prayer?

“Very often, the Rebbe would advise people in your situation to be meticulous in the observance of the laws of Family Purity. If you have not yet committed to observing this mitzvah, now is a perfect time to do so. If you do observe the laws, perhaps it’s time for a refresher course. Either way, your local rabbi and rebbetzin will be able to assist you in this matter.

While there is no specific prayer or blessing that addresses your situation, there are three special times for a woman to pray for children:

1) After she immerses in the mikvah, as per the mitzvah of Family Purity, while she is still in the water.
2) After she lights the Shabbat or Jewish holiday candles and recites the blessing, while she is still covering her eyes.
3) While she is making challah.”
